I liked this book overall, I really did. The descriptions of plantation life were really interesting, and even though the book is long the plot moves along. And it's interesting to see how Scarlett's character changes as a result of her experiences. But the big problem I had with the book was that I just didn't like Scarlett! She's selfish and vain, and mean to the people who love her, throughout the book. This just made the whole thing a little hard to swallow!
